Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs in Toronto

Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs

Traditional bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah catering can be boring.

You must spice things up to make it fun for the kids as well as the adults. Do you want a stuffy formal affair or a carefree fun atmosphere? Bar mitzvahs are supposed to be joyful fun events.

The catering team at The Avenue Banquet Hall was recently engaged to design and execute a bar mitzvah carnival theme event. The challenge was to create original carnival foods. The food had to blend with the carnival décor. No knife or fork was the mission given by the client to our catering team.

Our catering team was thrilled to be part of this exciting adventure.

Our food selection was based on traditional carnival food. We had to consider that all carnival food is fried. This may not be a healthy choice, but its just for one night. It’s not like you are eating fried food daily. I think that all dietary regimens allow for one day of cheating.

Corn Dogs
Fried Green Tomatoes
Fried Pickles
Chicken on mini waffles
Popcorn chicken
French fries
Fried Oreos
Cotton candy
Caramel pop corn
New York style pretzels
Coney Island Hot Dogs.

For people who could not eat fried foods, we created the following:
Fruit kebabs
Falafel waffle
Quinoa salad in a tortilla inspired cup
Mexican style corn on the cob
Mini grilled charcoal grilled shish kebab

We ended the evening with nitrogen popcorn and ice cream.

The Avenue Banquet Hall has partnered with Mitzuyan Kosher Catering and can provide the same types of non kosher carnival foods totally Glatt kosher.

The international chefs at the Avenue Banquet Hall have a wealth of catering knowledge from all parts of the world. They love to display their creativity when given the opportunity. Our team can create simply perfect catering solutions for all your events
